Breathless

By zuzus petals

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I’ve never seen a muse With destruction on her mind, But, as smooth as the summer’s coolest night, Still steamy, but softly calm; I break from the extreme. Now, my throat is dry with silence, Parched for a breath Only I can summon rarely. The humidity once filled me With temporary satisfaction, But now, the thought of being breathless Nearly knocks the wind out of me.like I said, I've never met inspiration with the thought of my destruction, but so many times creation = destruction (my other poem KARMA is about that too).
