No Ordinary Words
By zuzus petals
No ordinary words could make your lips Flush white then burn so deeply. No innocent kisses could be softly lain On a barren path that stretches past the horizon. Only the roundest curves of your face Could mimic a dissected rose, With velvet petals caressing silk And stems stripped of their thorns. You reveal to me each cloaked moment; Too tranquil to disturb with any sort of noise, Like the tick-tock of time flying away from anxious hands. All you allow to emanate throughout these hollow walls Is the moaning of the flooded sea; Iron waves, smashing the shivering shore. But no words, does this silence break No thoughts, or tears does it bring or take away. No kisses does it rest Upon this plane that expands far beyond The point where sky meets earth And time hides, waiting to be found.read me...no one reads me anymore. This poem is ok...but I've been in a slump lately so tell me what you think -zuzu Written March 17th, 2002 © on Mar 17 2002 11:15 AM PST 10 • 0
