The crevices in your heart Are dried at the edges And each gaping hole Is held together By thin threads. I’ve tried for so long To follow the map Said to lead to The softer parts of you, But, I have yet to find them. Perhaps my own heart Is too much Of a patchwork of seams And mismatched fabric To understand Your threadbare soul. I’ve tried to deceive you, To convince your tattered spirit  That I am whole, That you are the only one With stitches.
