Unraveled

By zuzus petals

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Was this what you envisioned; Am I a great experiment To taste a new type of flesh, To turn smoother rocks Upon your palms And torment yourself with new senses, Softer lips, and seamless fingers? Did you picture it this way; Your head resting On the knot between my navel and belly That you yourself had tied tight Then fought to loosen? When you dreamt of me Did you imagine me unraveled; Easily picked apart Like a curious child disassembles A clock that no longer keeps time, Or a music box with no song? Have you exhausted Each way to twist and turn me; To stretch me across a distance I dare not measure Or rearrange my body To fit perfectly in your arms? I don’t know If I can live bound up this tight, Sore and tired from waiting to see If my pieces fit exactly Against the warmth of your skin Or if you can find a way To untie this knot that swells inside of me.Ummm I'm not sure if it's done--it's definatly far from perfect. So, in the mean time here it is! Enjoy (if you can) -Zuzu Written April 13th, 2002 © on Apr 13 2002 03:28 PM PST   10 • 0
