Angel
By Desert Simba
Like a sleepless angel you shield my loneliness with laughter and endless kisses. You listen to my stories that have tired many a soul. You immerse yourself into my life, delicately and hesitantly. And I wait the messages that spring from your eyes. And though you play hide and seek with your heart, there are some eyes where it cannot hide from. I gather your eyes to the anticipated instant of joy. And gently I hear you breathe a new life into my being. And you make me wait for moments like peeling open oysters for pearls. And in long gazes you drown me into a sea of love that makes drowning an ecstasy. In the new born morning light you look like my sleepless angel collecting a few moments of rest. And did any one tell you what that volcano in your belly meant? And did you know that somehow I believe my faith in love could only be restored by an angel. Did you know it was meant to be you?
