Healing wounds

By Desert Simba

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I have worried about your pain. I have carried my unsaid words at the tip of my tongue. Wondering if I can ease your heart with words. Or do I simply touch your love soaked eyes. Will you hear in my silence the concern? I wish to caress your soul. I wish to gently fondle your eyes I wish to softly kiss your lips. Sealing them to the pain and grieving of your heart. And yet I see your happiness nestled into each gesture. And I have made my peace with myself. And if it helps I may tell you Your love helped me heal I hope in some small way My being there might heal your wounds. Written January 27th, 2002 © on Jan 27 2002 06:40 AM PST   0 • 8
