Rainbows
By Desert Simba
I am lost knowing that there are rainbows I had not seen. I am found by the wayside of abandoned neglect. I am anchored to the mail posts of expectation. And I have spend a lifetime waiting. Losing and waiting, then finding and losing again. Like an endless cycle which is always filled with The intent to be lost. I am trembling in the search for words In the exhausted syllables of the morning. Gathered to your lips and nestled on your breasts. Seen to my tired eyes, Uncollected by my lips. Wondering if the silence you teach me Carries more words than I care to speak. Do you touch your lips and smell me there? Do you gaze into the still air hoping we would be embracing there? Do you walk through the morning, carrying me on your mind? Do you know what Want is? And to know you know it all, and yet your silence Holds secrets my eyes cannot bare. Perhaps on one tremulous morning You will tell more than your lips can speak….. (copyright aqsher) Written February 12th, 2000 © on Jan 18 2002 01:54 PM PST 18 • 0 • 8
