Every Door that Opens
By kvwriter
Every Door that Opens You believe your presence here might seem as if concealed, And your value as a human being has yet to be revealed. You've traveled a rocky road, with mountains left unscaled; Weak and weary, sad and torn, on depression's lance impaled. You've heard the words of others and was treated most unkind, But your presence here is God-ordained, seek and you will find. You are among family now and we will treat you so. And help you embark on the journey--relax your angst, let go. As we work together to guide you back into the light, Gather your fighting spirit and your courage for this fight. A challenge is ahead of us. Are you ready to settle the score? Don't you already know you were meant to walk through this door? As you heal, you'll emerge, as though from a battered cocoon, Like a butterfly to greet the sun and eclipse the night's full moon. Walk the journey with belief, the enemy is all but gone. Grasp life in all its fullness--walk tall like you belong. Leave the fear and anguish behind, seek your purpose in life. The road is never an easy one, let belief replace fear and strife. Walk in the essence of today, don't dwell on the tomorrow. Live in the present, here and now; there is no time to borrow. Keep walking in the light of belief; hold steady, strong and true, And every door that opens for you; don't hesitate--walk through! Kelly Varner JohnsonThis poem was originally written for some of you here and you know who you are. Now, it's helping me as I search for those open doors. I pray you, each, hold steady and find your open doors. We just have to have the courage to walk through. Steady on!--Kel Written February 18th, 2002 © on Feb 23 2002 07:30 AM PST, Kelly Varner Johnson 0 • 5
