The Rundersuk(Runder/sook as in took)

The Rundersuk (Suk as in "Took") The bridges of the bungledock lay rickety upon the waves, Casting its occupants to and fro with eternal bogglefaves. Shaking his beard, heavy with salt, the rundersuk peered with dread, And cast his reddened, sukky gaze to the bungledock ahead. If he stepped gingerly, if he bungled not; Would the eternal bogglefaves forgive his e'er boospot? The rundersuk was not to be shaken,  And traveled the bungledock though rickety and breaking. Onward he strode with bogglefaves lashing at his heel; Covered his eyes with weathered hand and drew on strength of will. No rundersuk ever traveled this way without tormenting foe, For backward pace, leaves much disgrace, when there is no where to go. Rundersuk=Weary traveler Bungledock=Journey, or the way Bogglefaves=Tossings, life's blows Boospot=Past wrongs Bungled=journeyed sukky=weary By Kelly Varner JohnsonThese are made up words.  Read the poem again once you know the words and it will make more sense.  Just an experiment like the "Jabberwockey" by Lewis Carol in "Through the Looking Glass."  Yes, another day when I was bored, long ago.  I'm beginning to think . . . no, I won't say it!  LOL!  Wish everyone would give this a try.  Really can be fun!--Kel  :) Written April 20th, 1997 © on Feb 07 2002 03:26 AM PST, Kelly Varner Johnson   0 • 7
