I dream of you
By repomen79
I dream of you beloved friend, And hear your name on the midnight wind. All of blessings seem to be, That such as you would care for me. Beyond my door let dark abide. Light shines brightly here inside. Every dream has come true here, And love has dried up every tear I send my love to hold and keep, Watch upon you as you sleep. Let the tide go always rushing, ever after to the sea. As we celebrate in laughter, all the things that love can be. I will be your Galahad, You will always make me glad. We will live life unafraid, Safe within the love we made. In my dreams you walk in light. Upon a cold and lonely night. Isn't it a sad thing that the heart must surely break? Isn't it a pity you can't be there when I wake? This heart dreams not the faded rose. In the vase that never grows. Nor of the bleak unyeiding ground. Nor crowds that speak without a sound. This heart dreams of a finer place, Of tender grace on your sweet face. Vistas of clear blue skies, And loving looks in laughing eyes. And all the things he prays are true. And just as real, as his love for you.Ya ever have one of those dreams, where waking up was a major let down? Written March 7th, 2002 © on Mar 07 2002 10:02 AM PST, Patric Patterson 18 • 0 • 8
