I won't have you
By repomen79
I can own the passion and the winter moonlit sky. The secret hearts of lovers and the places where they lie. I can touch the essence of the real, Yet all I feel, Is the sorrow of a night that knew no sleep. My love no one will dry the tears I weep, For the vision of your warm and loving eyes. And the sweetness of your being, I will never realise. I had to laugh, It surely seemed, Your photograph was what I dreamed. Isn't it the growing of the bloom that makes it rare? And isn't it the knowing of our hearts that makes us care? Is love somehow forgiven by his rule? For surely only love can make a fool. And I will have my lifetime through, To understand, I won,t have you. Let darkness fall and make no sound, Least hope should dream beyond all bound. Windblown hair and robe of white, Walk my aching soul this night. Speak of all the love we'll make, Hold me closer lest I wake. Darling as we stand here in a place we cannot go. My hearts at your command dear, and it always will be so. Dear Lord hear this dreamer's prayer, Let me wake to find her there. Though I can own the passion and the hour, Only God, and God alone can own the flower. I'd rather dream your kiss' than, Be a dreamless lonely man. For the night is long and the kiss' are few, It seems so wrong, that I won't have you.I,m just writing now. I give up on points and all(i think) I hope you like it, Written April 2nd, 2002 © on Apr 02 2002 03:34 PM PST, Patric Patterson 18 • 0 • 8
