Loveless (No exit)

Deep in my dungeon, I cherish you're fear. A glad smile does not welcome here. This is the place where the damned all weep. Awaking in Hell at the hour of sleep. What matters where a man might dwell? When he makes it heaven or makes it Hell. Not from wood or brick or stone. But from deeds and deeds alone. Thus is my spirit locked deep inside. Such a narrow place in a world so wide. Did I need to read Dickens, in order to see, That my buisness was humanity? This once was a place where hope did live. Love was given as love did give. To feed body or spirit, the choice was mine. I kept the bottle and spilled the wine. There in the mirror, the empty chair. The tragic reflection of empty air. Within my domain, I rule all I survey. I never comand, and they never obey The clock runs backward, in a time of regret. Toward redemption, but not there yet. No more perfect home could a man devise. From casual cruel and insincere lies. There, ragged curtains that hang to the floor. Hung by loving hands, that love here no more. Dusty tattered, and Yellow with age. A moth eaten flag, for the state of rage. And on the wall, neat in its frame. The high degree that bears my name. Though true education passed me by. What good is how? not knowing why. Alas for the charity, I might have shown. The loving kindness I might have known. I despair for the hope I could have found. The lack of which now keeps me bound. I pray for the light of a someday dawn. To shine in a place where all light is gone. Vast is the void, between the stars. And the void I am, behind my barsHe who would be free must choose the chains of love.
