RoVeR
By repomen79
I'll bide my time, and time abide, On summers fields of green. The country side is far and wide, And never have I seen. A place that wasn't home to me, Nor one I couldnt know, For footloose, I am fancy free, And a roving I will go. A face outside a country store, So unlike any other. Yet like one I have met before. Enough to be a brother. By any name he loves the same, And it always shall be so. Upon this all the world I claim, A roving I will go. So troubles come, so to the rain, And bring the lightening strike. In just this way do all know pain, Both rich and poor alike. In that the rain does serve to feed, The flowers as they grow. I know that I have all I need, A roving I will go. So blessed the ear that truley hear, creations subtle song. The very earth sings to me here, And my heart sings along. And all of fear does dissappear, And anger never show. For all my blessings find me here, Though a roving I do go. The hours late and night must fall, There's promises to keep. We journey in the hope that all, Might know before they sleep. That like is like to flesh and bone, We reap that which we sow. And are the love that we have shown, A roving I will go.For strmdncr with love and thanks. Written April 12th, 2002 © on Apr 12 2002 01:49 PM PST, Patric Patterson 18 • 0 • 10
