The Way of the cross Leads Home
By repomen79
I walked alone, no one came near. On Christmas night so cold and clear. Before me a blanket of unbroken white. Behind my steps lead out of sight. His peace assures, wherever I roam. The way of the cross leads home. The silence sang a subtle song. And all creation sang along. Where sky meets Earth and all things grow. That men from birth might somehow know. That truth be neither oil nor loam. The way of the cross leads Home. So gather ye, that all might rest. For all is all at his behest. And all the blessings of his power. Walk the Earth this shinning hour. Where gathers men, to make mens laws. Are gathered there in His good cause. Blind justice stands atop the dome, But the way of the cross leads home. There's music in the furthest reachs. A song that contemplation teach's. Within the ever pulsing vein, That knows the dead shall live again. And all who hold that grace is dear. Know that our rightious king draws near. From the country church to the catacomb. The way of the cross leads home. Where once these weary shoulders bore. The weight of death, but nevermore. Now binds our hearts in charity. To live in hope by certainty. For grace to share our brother's pain. So that in mercy both might gain. This blessed road leads not to Rome. The way of the cross leads home. Unto the poor who know not peace. A kingdom that shall never cease. Past villages where witchs burned. And cities where great thinkers learned. Shanties set in streets of mud, Rivers that ran red with blood. Out past the sea where the wild waves foam. The way of the cross leads HOME.With love and thanks to my Lord and savior. who gives me the words to speak of the wonder of his love. may he ever be at you're side. may you always have love.
