Titanic

Lies deep a mighty wall of steel. A mile or more below. Her rusted riven hull conceal, The wound that made her so. A brazen bolt of insolence. Against Earth and sky and wave. She sleeps the sleep of impotence, In her lonely ocean grave. The swells who strolled the promanade, In their diamonds gold and mink. Now sleep beneath the eye of God. On the boat He "couldn't"sink. A very city set to steam. As her banners proud did wave. Now a foolish and forgotten dream. In her lonely ocean grave. Look on her there, and know despair, For time shall claim her own. And the rust and the dust do both declare, That the dead shall sleep alone. Does a man pretend that the sea extend, Such a grace that somehow save? Let her lie in peace at her journeys end. In her lonely ocean grave. In the steerage class the humble lie. And the gate that barred their way, Rusts slowly as the years go by. Such a tragic price to pay. For the new world now forsaken. And the promise that it gave. All the lifeboats have been taken. In her lonely ocean grave. The captains gone could not go on. for he bore the aweful blame. Long since that grey and chilly dawn. They speak his vessels name. That wealth exempt, invite contempt, And a coward misbehave. The dangers wealth dare not attempt. In her lonely ocean grave. They drop a cross to mark her loss. Contrived of burnished brass. And speak a prayer before they toss, For the things that come to pass. Time is kind and men will find, That their errors are forgave. But the former kind must stay behind. In her lonely ocean grave.Just heard some of the movie sound track. It was beautiful to me. so haunting and sorrowful.
