When Baby's day is done

Night prayers, Daddy stares. His look of love betraying. How he cares, Mamma shares. The prayer he is praying. Turn out the light the night is near. Call for the sower of dreams Life blooms to one day disappear. How precious this time seems. Cover the bed with a blanket of red. Order up dinner for one. Whisper our prayer to God overhead. When baby's day is done. We are light from out of shadow, We are fortunate indeed, To watch our pretty baby grow. Is all we'll ever need. We glisten in the light of love. Like fire in a gem. And thank our gracious God above. Who trusted us with him. We face the years with hearts made glad. By the miracle of birth. To wear the title mom or dad. Is to rule the happy Earth Our souls they laugh with one accord. For our battle has ben won. And our lives become there own reward, When baby's day is done. I smile, though  the road is long. For she walks at my side. And life has given us a song, For every tear we've cried. The jewel of creation. Can be held in daddy's hand. And the cause for celebration. Isn't hard to understand. For birthday cakes and childhood. And endless days of fun. I look about and all is good. When baby's day is done. Tell him the tree bends with the wind. And fortune favors fashion. To love is to live and never end. And parenthood is passion. Tell him the sky is only the start. So he shines bright as the sun. Tell him his home is in mamma's heart. When baby's day is done. For this baby we shall live in grace. We shall hold him and never let go. And our hearts shall be his resting place. And it always will be so. Let us give thanks let us hold him dear. For his journey has just begun. Let him know that our love doesn't disappear.
