The winds from the north Came and brought with them plague Of the mind and the soul Seven deadly sins consume the town as a whole The fire in the bar turned a ghastly shade of black As darkness rode in It had no intention of turning black Bright to dark day to night Victory not in sight The town's only hope: A necromancer exiled Forced out fore he was tried and trialed "Days of the new are gone Banish all hope fore it seems wrong" The preachers sermon was one of grave They abandoned faith And thought mankind could not be saved As the necromancer Nos received word That the town needed his help He found the very idea absurd But he had a love back home That he wished to save He did not want to be alone He took up a sword and vowed to fight Somehow in a dismal world He had found the light To find the source of darkness He had to travel far and wide His spiritual journey wasn't just inside And then in the Valley of Styx Light disappeared and fire scorched the sky A man dressed all in black said, "To save mankind, you must die To save your soul, you must be destroyed But to save the future is impossible" Nos pondered what the cloaked figured said Drew his sword Struck himself And he was dead The frown of the hooded figure was feigned Because after that, darkness reignedFeigned: faked (pretty much) Nice ending eh? Kind of different from the last piece I wrote. hah. Just thought I'd stir things up Written March 6th, 2002 © on Mar 06 2002 01:33 PM PST 0 • 10
