Different Perspective
By RiVeN
How could I a child Of young age Understand the world To a greater extent And a greater guage A mediocre society A media kingdom This is the reality come to reign And in such times of trouble How do I stay sane I took up a sword And a verse I would no longer shout At the world The one I would previously curse And in such times if madness And insanity Not know what may be Around the next bend How can one truly understand? How can one truly comprehend? Being fed corporate feed Writing was the call I would soon heed A mere novice Oblivious in the sea of experts One nobody would notice My journey in life is not to satisfy Or with the rules and regulations Not comply I viewed the world through A different perspective A different lens My status varied with event Everyday on it depends Until I am "sleeping under the rain" I will not stop the flow Nor will I stop my musical show I do not want a grave To be honored as if I were brave I am no hero No mortal God Just leave me to myself And in time I will put books on the shelf Written January 13th, 2002 © on Jan 13 2002 06:39 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
