Teatro de la Mente
By RiVeN
Late one night to insomnia I awoke The dark air around me had a tight grip And began to choke I put on my shoes and decided to take a walk Hopefully it would clear my head of voluminous thoughts The city lights Illuminated the midnight air And all I could do was gawk and stare I came across an old theater One I went to back in the day I would come here on the weekends And watch the stars of the silver screen play The door was open just by chance So I walked in and with nostalgia I began to dance I tore the ticket I gave myself And the memories came flooding back I walked down the hall And in a theater I found myself alone I sat down in one of the worn out seats And used the one infront of me to prop up my feet The images on the screen Seemed strangely familiar And then I realized what they were Images from my dreams It seemed odd that all of this was true Suffering from a case of deja vu I shouted, "Hey who's running this flick?" I went up to the projector room to see And the sight suddenly made me sick A skeleton with my face I awoke in my bed As if I had never left this place Over on my dresser Was a torn ticket stubooooohhhhhh Written January 24th, 2002 © on Jan 24 2002 01:37 PM PST 0 • 10
