Ancient Sands
By Egypt
On ancient Egyptian Sands she stood, the Dark One by her side 'I yearn to be home, M'Lord.' She said and sighed 'Our country once wealthy, our wrath men feared.' 'My Egypt is far away and yet so near.' He turned to her slightly and quietly bowed She looked into his eyes, a frown creased her brow 'Looking into your ancient past is one I wish you to do.' 'For M'Lady, you must realize, Egypt is you.' 'The wealth you speak of comes from your heart.' 'The sands you once walked on, is your body that it is part.' 'The power and beauty lay in your eyes and hair.' 'But the wrath is something that you must beware.' 'The pain of your deaths, the sorrow you've felt.' 'You know these things, a lethal past has been dealt.' 'The wrath you speak, you have yet to truly feel.' 'In order to move forward, M'Lady, this you must heal.' She looked back to the pyramids, the giant beauties Men before and after her, their construct they envy 'Anger, pain, rage, all the same, but each with different reason.' 'Burying them in your body, deep in your soul, has been your demon.' 'Words of healing coming from one so Dark,' She said and smiled 'When in our beginning, you came at me reviled.' 'Speaking of lust, greed, power, do you remember?' 'Your words spoke one, your body spoke the other.' 'M'Lady you must be able to heal to use what has been given.' 'To kill you, they will do, but to gain power over them, will strengthen.' With a sweep of his arm, she blinked and back to the castle they were Another sweep and fire began to start, and she looked at him bitter 'What do you gain from me changing as such?' 'One that will take your place? Do you wish that much?' 'You'll see me as I wish you to do, and that will be a milestone.' 'Even those of darkness do not want to be alone.'Forgive the length of time that has passed since my last submission on this series! Thank you for waiting patiently and I'll do my best not to let it happen again. Written March 13th, 2002 © on Mar 13 2002 11:59 AM PST 0 • 18 • 10
