Darkness of the Day
By Egypt
A crash of the door, hands around my neck My arms bound behind me as I think of the room next to mine I close my eyes and say a brief prayer 'Keep them safe, and in your arms, I ask of Thee They're the next generation, Your Appointed Ones.' I smile softly, my work will continue My girls, kept safe Thrown over a strong shoulder, told to not scream I feel many hands hold me in place and grope as they laugh 'Took us a while to find you, Mistress A while indeed, your time is short. Where is your guard?' Laughter continues as we move down the hall I'm thrown on a horse and we gallop deep into woods I hear loud screams and shouts as my blood runs cold 'They've found them.' and begin to cry 'They'll watch me die.' I kick one next to me and begin falling down One grabs me hard and I'm plunged into darkness 'You'll pay', I whisper harshly. 'Not this lifetime, but mark my words' We move further in and I begin to prepare Life will be ending soon, and with my daughters there I gain strength from Gods and Goddesses around, I sit straight and proud My heart quickens as we stop and I feel something enclose my throat The hood removed, my girls in front of me I pray to the One above me, 'Give me strength and give them love' A brief scuffle in front of me, I have to smile I send them both a thought, as I hear the men yell The horse moves under me and I close my eyes No pain is felt as I drop violently down My last thought is of my girls and can feel the storm brew 'They've heard me, My Love. I'm coming to you.'No comment on this one really. I think it speaks for itself. Written January 19th, 2002 © on Jan 19 2002 12:32 PM PST 18 • 0 • 10
