Love Ended

By Egypt

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Bodies intertwined, love expended The peace of Love after, only to be crushed The room suddenly full of those not understanding Split apart and taken away Crying for each other, wishing for it to end Taken to my Beloved Seas as I hear his voice scream 'I love thee, my Goddess!' Beaten and battered over again The roll of distant thunder The hum of the Crystal changing I look to the skies one last time Knowing the end is near... The rush of cool water on my legs as I'm drug Further and further and I hear his screams again I look to the city and scream outloud To see his life end, violence 'The time is now, Mistress' and I hear a laugh I look in the face of my executioner and smile 'You may kill our bodies, but our love will live on' Suddenly feeling the waters surround my body, taking me slowly The sting of water in my lungs as they raise and lower, again and again I'm frightened and angry then feel him near The caress I longed for soothed my soul 'Come to me, My Goddess' I smile one last time as the waters overtake me and breathe in, one last time...This is another one that doesn't need anything from me. Let it speak for itself. Written January 20th, 2002 © on Jan 19 2002 03:55 PM PST   18 • 0 • 10
