Dark Death

By Egypt

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Standing on the balcony, deep into the stormy night Her thoughts turned once again of taking flight Running and hiding, anything but staying there Getting away from the Dark One and his evil care The mark began to throb, but the throb was cold Colder still - her breath it stole Crying out softly, she moved into the room She screamed when she saw her evil doom Standing there amidst others of his kind The Dark One smiled, sending chills down her spine 'The journey begins tonight, Mistress.' And he sighs 'The first of what you must do, is that you die.' Drooling and panting, like dogs, they were Screaming and jumping on her, her death did occur Tearing flesh and torture over and over again The Dark One laughed, as they killed her, his henchmen Her spirit pulled out of her body as she finally died Looking around the room, she walked over to him and stood at his side They watched as they devoured her body piece by piece To her silent horror, as she watched, she found a quiet peace The Dark One looked to her as the room began to change She watched silently, and began to feel strange Lightning pierced the sky and thunder rolled deep Blinking her eyes, she found herself in the storm's keep Lightning webbed through her and she felt a surge of power Her spirit throbbed painfully and began to alter Screaming with pain, the lightning continued its assault Her eyes burned silver as her power began to exalt Dropping, falling through the night sky Wings of black helped her to fly Screaming in pain, covered in sweat She sat up in bed, a dream - relieved - until their eyes met.
