Mother's Sacrifice Part I

By Egypt

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

After tucking her girls safe in bed She stepped outside, thoughts swirling in her head She felt a warm breeze, closed her eyes and sighed 'You cannot do what is in your mind' She opened her eyes and saw him standing there 'What you are thinking shows love and care' 'But reconsider, My Goddess, reconsider please' "It's the only way," Her anger swelling.  "The only way for them to fall to their knees." She looked deep into his dark brown eyes She knew he was right, but someone had to die... The torture, the running was too much to bear Her thoughts were dangerous, something she had to dare "I only regret not doing this before you were taken, love" She ran her hand across his brow "It's come down from push to shove" 'I cannot interfere, My Goddess, do you understand?' 'I wish, but cannot.'  And he lightly kisses her hand. She nods and smiles then turns into the door 'Mark my words, love, this will end, there will be no more.' She stepped quietly into the house and he stood there for a few "But my Goddess, it will truly be the end of you." Warm breezes blow as he begins vanishing from sight ~She has chosen, Revad, she's decided to fight~ He only nods as he's carried to the sky ~A Mother's Sacrifice, afterall, means she's ready to die~Part I, yeah, I know....But it would truly be the longest poem in history if I did it in one shot..
