Strangled
By Egypt
Sleeping soundly, deep in the night Covered only by a sheet Waking suddenly in deep fright Eyes open wide, and begins to weep Hands around the throat, raspy voices in her ear Can't breathe or move or speak Totally engulfed in fear Closing eyes as hands begin to roam 'We've found you, Mistress. Time again grows near.' Voices sound familiar, voices she's known Cold chills, covered in sweat, whispers like that of a spear Praying silently to the Great One, 'Take me now' Hands clinch tighter as others move faster A sudden soft touch over her brow 'We'll take your life, take your soul, then take what matters most.' 'Choke them, rape them, murder them slow.' 'They'll call for you, beg for you, but you'll be nowhere close.' 'Take this to your grave, this is what you know.' One final clinch of hands, voices growing dim Eyes opening as she sees them move from her room Anger grips her hard, she gets on weak knees and calls to Him.
