The Visit
By Egypt
Sleeping soundly, floating on air Visiting her, something I dare Brow furrows, fury flies On wings of ice, I hear her cries Looking down, I see my worst fear Their intentions becoming quite clear The look in her eyes, the fear on her face The first instinct, would push me from grace I look above and see him there Muscles tight with anger, eyes filled with storms, no longer fair Not being able to help, held in place by icy hands We watch in horror, their intentions, their plan Speaking to her, telling her lies We both send thoughts, they have to die Begging, pleading, our eyes filled with tears Her screams release her deepest fears Fighting back, but losing the war With great relief, they rush through the door Icy hands release their hold Our spirits shiver from the cold We hold each other tightly, grieving for not being able to defend He turns, holding me tight, and blows a gentle wind She curls into a ball as we descend down I hold her close as He kisses her crown We stay with her until she's fast asleep Knowing they'll pay, for what they reapTo the two that will read this and know...We love you both.
