Tortured Soul/Taken

High in the castle, deep in a midsummer's night She slept soundly, unaware of her future plight Her love had turned cold and dark Before all would end, he would leave his deep mark He had once been a guardian, father and lover What he turned to, came from much lower The changes were subtle until that fateful eve What she had witnessed, brought her to her knees It scared her not to think his power had been dark Given from the Gods to protect, his orders had been stark Too many lifetimes spent apart sealed her doom The only one that could touch it, may now send her to her tomb She suddenly woke from a disturbing dream What she saw in her room caused her to scream Body of dark skin and armor, wings of black Eyes shining silver, his muscles tight - ready for attack 'You're coming with me, there's no denying your fate.' She sat on her bed, her eyes filled with hate With a mighty arm, he picked her from the bed She screamed as they flew out the window, to the South they began to head Her mind wandered back to a time of beauty and grace But Lust and greed had forever etched his face 'Stop your thoughts!' He grumbled and she let out a gasp His laugh low and guttural, he released his grasp Screaming - heart pounding as she fell through the air Fear, but more so anger, was more than she could bear She heard his night scream as he caught her mere feet from the ground In his arms was safety, she once again found 'Know this, Mistress before I am through Your Power increased, your love for him to me, these things you will do We are destined to Rule together and Rule we shall 'Fighting this destiny, will not be allowed.'Part I Written February 23rd, 2002 © on Feb 22 2002 06:46 PM PST   18 • 0 • 10
